As more organisations continue to depend on remote learning, many are recognising how ineffective it is when it’s not designed specifically for the remote environment and doesn’t include highly-participative, learner-led approaches. Remote learning is often synonymous with talk-over-slides models because course designers have not leveraged the full power of remote learning.
ICAgile and Rees McCann helped change the narrative around remote learning by bringing their Facilitating Exceptional Remote Learning Workshop to instructors all over the world. While this course equips instructors with the tools they need to facilitate stronger remote learning experiences, it quickly uncovered a need for course designers in the remote learning space.
In response to this need, ICAgile and Rees McCann are excited to announce the launch of the Remote Course Design Program – a first-of-its-kind programme that will help course designers gain the necessary skills and competencies they need to design high-quality remote courses.
Who Should Attend?
This programme is designed for course designers who are responsible for designing remote courses or converting existing in-person courses for delivery in a remote environment.
Upon completing this programme and designing your course, we recommend that instructors complete the Facilitating Exceptional Remote Learning (FERL) workshop to ensure your live-class delivery lives up to the standard of your course design.

- Design various methods of assessing knowledge acquisition.
Course Structure
This transformative learning programme will not only teach how to design exceptional remote courses, it will also allow participants to experience it first-hand through its immersive course design.
The programme will combine various modalities (e.g., synchronous, asynchronous), provide on-going feedback, and allow course designers to join a community of professionals who are defining and evolving the future of remote learning.
There are three live classes, plus an end-of course celebration: about nine hours of instructor-led synchronous training in all.
In addition, participants will need to commit to around ten hours of guided self-study and small-group project meetings, at their convenience between and around the live classes.
